“ Being a part of the Residence Life Staff has really helped me, both financially and socially ”
It's a lot of fun working here; I like the fact that I get to meet new people everyday and work with such a great staff. It's also convenient because I have my job and at the same time it takes care of my room and board so I don't have to worry about it. It's great to have so many friends at work and I really enjoy helping my residents.

"I love my RA... as soon as I got here she introduced herself and told me about the campus as well as things to do and places to go, she's Awesome! ”
I chose to live on campus rather than an apartment because I'm the only one from my senior class to come to Fresno State and I wanted to get to know more people here. The programs really encourage meeting other students. being around other freshman makes the transition easy.

“Living on campus has helped me meet other students and network with others in my Major ”
I would encourage other transfer students to consider living on campus rather than moving into an apartment because of the fact that there are so many services and opportunities available to residents. My attendance is better, I can grab a bite to eat on the way to class, and a lot of the people I met my first year here I'm still friends with today. |

“It's close to all my classes”
No need to worry about parking or traffic. Also, the RDF is convenient and computer lab is helpful. Plus, visiting with friends is easy here. |

“I'm glad I made the decision to live here; it's something I would never take back and would choose to live here again next year ”
I feel very safe here, the presence of the Public Safety Assistants makes me feel safe enough to just walk outside after midnight, and with the Keycard lock system I know it will only be me and my roommate with access to the room. |

“It's a home away from home, I don't have to worry about comuting, or rent an apartment.”
I enjoy living on campus because, It's a home away from home, I don't have to worry about comuting, or rent an apartment. I would recommend anyone living away to move on campus. I'm having a blast.

“Going to college is a HUGE adjustment, but I think living here on-campus and meeting a bunch of people who are going through the same thing makes the adjustment a little easier and I think that had a positive effect on my first year here”
The dorms are within walking distance of everything I need, like the library, bookstore, the gym and all my classes. With a police department and escorts right on-campus, you don’t have to worry about your safety because you can always have someone escort you if you have night classes, meetings, or whatever else after dark. The third and probably biggest reason for choosing to live on-campus was because it gave me the opportunity to meet people from all over the state, country, and even the world! |

“…dorm living
has helped me establish friendships that will last a lifetime”
“Living on campus has been
an awesome experience thus far! The top five ways that on-campus
living has enhanced my college experience are:
5. Wide range of activities: There’s
always an activity that Resident Advisors sponsor.
They’re a guaranteed good time, and are known to peak
interest.
4. Dependability: I can depend on the University
Courtyard staff to help me with
anything!
3. Convenience: It has been very convenient to live
on-campus. I am closer to my
classes, and to the campus in general. No parking hassles!
2. Safety: I enjoy the fact that I am safe in my dorm,
or in the dining hall. The Residence Life Staff makes sure that
rules are followed, and that no one has to worry about feeling
unsafe.
1. Friends!: Living on-campus has been an awesome way
to meet people. I’ve
befriended so many people while living here. You’re guaranteed
a diverse group of
people that will dorm with you. I know that the dorm living
has helped me establish
friendships that will last a lifetime!”
