RHA Purpose

RHA is a resident-led organization that encourages the development of community in University Courtyard through student leadership, service and innovative programming. RHA serves as the voice of the students living in University Courtyard. In past years, RHA has organized trips, dances and other events. Members also have the opportunity to give feedback to University Dining Services and other University Courtyrad departments. The following positions are open to any resident with at least a 2.0 GPA:

RHA Positions

The President leads the executive board meetings and the general council meetings. The president has the opportunity to sit on various committees for University Courtyard, University Dining Services, The Association, and the University when possible.

The Vice President is in charge of coordinating RHA’s committees, and developing events and programs. The VP also makes suggestions about changes to RHA’s constitution and by-laws. The VP is in charge of recognizing an outstanding Residence Life program every month.

The Communications Coordinator is responsible for maintaining national affiliation with the National Association of College and University Residence Halls, a student-run organization of more than 400 schools that promotes living on campus as an integral part of the college experience. The Communications Coordinator plans trips to national and regional conferences with the advisor.

The Secretary is responsible for taking detailed notes of general counsel and e-board meetings. The secretary also acts as historian by taking pictures of RHA activities.

The Treasurer monitors the budget of RHA and coordinates at least one fundraiser per semester.

Floor Representatives are selected to act as the voice of their fellow residents at RHA. The Floor Reps attend meetings and vote, and are responsible for bringing information back to their halls.
